Contribution rules (Ontario Municipal Elections Act)

  • Contributions may only be made by individuals who normally reside in Ontario.

  • Corporate, business, union, or organizational donations are not permitted.

  • Maximum contribution per individual: $1,200.

  • Cash contributions are limited to $25.

  • Contributions are not tax deductible.

  • Official receipts are issued on request for donations of $100 or more.
